Personal Financial Counselor – Camp Casey, South Korea Responsibilities and duties include: Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families. Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences. Develop and distribute informational financial materials. Coordinate, publicize, and deliver a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes and workshops covering the military lifecycle and DoDI . Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars. Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes such as web‑based chat or video communication when authorized by the OSD FINRED Program Office. Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol. Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision, sharing information on trends and issues on assigned installations. Participate in regular in‑services, training, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities as assigned. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; an associate degree plus 4 years of experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years of experience may be considered. At least 3 years of financial counseling experience. Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish may be required. Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation. Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process. Must hold one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
