Lead Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled Lead Backend Developer with substantial expertise in AWS to join our team. In this position, you will lead efforts to design, build, and maintain dependable backend systems that support scalable and high-performance applications. Responsibilities Design scalable backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot as primary technologies Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures powered by AWS Lambda and serverless frameworks Configure and manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for AWS platforms Set up CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, and operational workflows utilizing Docker, GitHub Actions, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk Develop automated testing frameworks for backend systems using tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Selenium Monitor and enhance production environments to ensure high reliability and performance with tools like Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic Handle backend service lifecycles, including development, deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver cohesive and optimized solutions Review code, contribute to technical documentation, and participate in major technical decisions Requirements A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline At least 5 years of extensive experience in backend development using Java or other programming languages Minimum of 1 year of team leadership experience or oversight of technical project management Strong knowledge of Java (Spring Boot) and familiarity with additional backend technologies like Node.js or Python Proficiency in automating and configuring AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD tools for cloud-native deployments Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions, such as Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic, for maintaining operational reliability Expertise in creating and managing automated testing frameworks for backend services Understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven system designs Capability to manage backend service lifecycles, ensuring production stability and optimization Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting and improving backend systems Advanced English level (B2 or higher) with outstanding communication skills for collaboration and documentation Nice to have Background in programming languages like Ruby or Rust and experience integrating legacy systems such as AS400 Understanding of frontend technologies like React or TypeScript to support full-stack development initiatives Competency in using build and configuration tools like Maven or Projen to streamline project workflows Skills in creating technical documentation and supporting onboarding processes to promote team development and knowledge-sharing We offer Connectivity Bonus (15,000 ARS are paid with a salary receipt at the end of each month as a non-wages concept).
