This SDET role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for API and backend services using RestAssured, as well as collaborating with development teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for API and backend services using RestAssured. Write and execute robust automated test scripts for RESTful APIs, ensuring comprehensive coverage. Collaborate with development teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Perform code reviews for test automation scripts and provide mentorship to junior QA engineers. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues promptly. Ensure compliance with best practices in test automation, including maintainability, scalability, and performance. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation. Strong proficiency in Java and Karate for API automation. Hands‑on experience with TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, and API documentation tools. Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
