Business Funding Strategist (U.S. Credit and Fundability Focus) Ryland Partners is seeking a Business Funding Strategist with a specialization in U.S. credit and fundability to join our team in a full-time remote role. The individual in this position will work directly with entrepreneurs and small business clients, conducting funding readiness assessments, analyzing credit reports, advising on credit repair and enhancement strategies, and guiding clients through business optimization processes. The strategist will also collaborate with specialized funding partners, craft tailored funding strategies, and support clients in acquiring capital. Additionally, the role involves coaching clients on financial positioning, required documentation, and storytelling to maximize their funding opportunities. Responsibilities Review personal and business credit reports to assess scores, utilization, derogatories, inquiries, and account structure. Evaluate financial and compliance information to determine fundability and risk. Design structured funding strategies and lender sequencing plans. Support preparation and quality‑control of application documentation. Track approvals, denials, limits, and conditions. Escalate blockers early and maintain Zero‑Overdue discipline. Collaborate with sales and client success teams to align expectations with feasibility. Qualifications Strong analytical skills related to credit analysis, funding strategies, and financial evaluation. Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, mentoring, and client‑facing abilities. 2–3+ years experience in U.S. business funding, credit analysis, underwriting support, lending, or advanced credit repair. Strong ability to interpret U.S. credit reports and explain underwriting impact. Practical understanding of fundability and lender criteria. Demonstrated experience using ClickUp for task, status, and documentation management. High attention to detail and strong written communication. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
