GCP Security Ops Engineer

Location: Remote Start date: ASAPLanguages: English (required) About the Role Pragmatike is hiring on behalf of a fast-growing, product-driven AI technology company operating large-scale, cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. The platform is security-critical, highly automated, and designed to support real-time, data-intensive workloads in production environments with strict reliability and compliance requirements. The engineering organization is lean, senior, and execution-focused. Security is treated as a first-class engineering problem, not a compliance checkbox. We are looking for a GCP Security Operations Engineer to strengthen day-to-day cloud security operations, hardening, and vulnerability management across production systems. This role is hands-on and close to infrastructure, ideal for engineers who enjoy practical security work, clear ownership, and working directly with cloud-native systems. What Youll Do Operate and improve security controls across GCP environments Perform routine security configuration reviews and implement standard hardening Work with core GCP security services (IAM, Security Command Center, SecOps, etc.) Run vulnerability scans, analyze findings, and prioritize remediation Triage security alerts and provide clear, actionable remediation guidance Review Python code and system designs for common security issues (auth flaws, injections, misconfigurations) Document security best practices and contribute to internal security standards Automate basic security checks and repetitive tasks using scripting Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to embed security early in the lifecycle What Were Looking For Hands-on experience with GCP security services (IAM, SCC, SecOps, logging, policies) Solid understanding of GCP security best practices and cloud hardening Practical experience running and interpreting vulnerability scans Ability to triage security findings and communicate risks clearly Experience reviewing Python code and system architectures for security issues Basic scripting skills in Python and/or Bash for automation Strong operational mindset with attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-moving, engineering-led environment Bonus Points Experience in AI, data, or high-scale cloud platforms Prior exposure to regulated or security-sensitive environments Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automated security checks French language proficiency Why This Role Will Pivot Your Career Work on real-world cloud security problems at scale Hands-on ownership of GCP security operations in production Close collaboration with senior infrastructure and platform engineers Strong exposure to cloud-native security automation Opportunity to relocate to Dubai with visa and logistics support Long-term growth in a security-first, product-led organization Pragmatike is dedicated to a fair, transparent, and inclusive recruitment process.
