Location Argentina – Buenos Aires Purpose and Objectives The Local Chief Accountant manages accounting and financial reporting for legal entities. Orchestrates accounting processes across shared services and expert centers. Ensures accuracy of financial statements, internal controls, IFRS Group reporting, statutory local reporting, and SOX 404. Manages external audit and supports legal entities in the Americas Region. Key Responsibilities Deliver timely, accurate IFRS Group financial statements. Meet internal and external audit requirements, including SOX 404. Prepare, audit, and file statutory accounts and required reports on schedule. Monitor correctness and compliance of accounting data for all finance processes. Build strong business relations with key stakeholders and ensure high satisfaction of financial report users. Manage relationships with GFS, other internal service providers, global functions, and external service providers; act as accounting single point of contact. Incorporate all corporate changes into local accounting. Support GFA transformation, continuous process improvement, mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture accounting processes as required. Skills and Competencies Thorough understanding of IFRS accounting rules. Fluent in English. Ability to work across international teams. Good organization and communication skills; able to work independently to drive project completion. Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic environment. Education and Work Experience University degree in accounting. Certified Public Accountant. 5+ years of practical accounting experience at SAP or another multi-national public company and a public accounting firm. Inclusion and EEO We win with inclusion.
