About the Role The Senior Global Pay Operations Specialist plays a key role in ensuring seamless payment experiences for our customers and their global talent partners. You’ll bring strong experience in payment operations, a sharp eye for process improvement, and a collaborative spirit. In addition to day‑to‑day support and operations, you’ll take ownership of complex workflows, help onboard new customers, and contribute to strategic improvements in our tools and systems. What You Will Do Payment Support & Operations Provide timely, empathetic support to our customers and their global talent partners across multiple channels Investigate and resolve payment issues, coordinating with internal teams and payment processors to ensure smooth payout execution Own escalated or sensitive cases, managing communications, aligning stakeholders, and driving resolution with care and urgency Monitor recurring issues and workflow gaps across support and operations, and proactively raise them to drive smoother processes and better outcomes for customers and the team Own and manage customer pay runs, ensuring accuracy, timely execution, and a smooth experience for both customers and their talent partners Troubleshoot pay run exceptions—investigating discrepancies, identifying root causes, and coordinating with internal and external teams to resolve them Oversee non‑standard pay run scenarios, such as off‑cycle processing or custom workflows Support new Global Pay customer onboarding—guiding them through compliance reviews, funding setup, and pay run training to ensure a confident start Act as a subject‑matter expert, helping customers align their internal workflows with platform capabilities and best practices Process Improvement & Documentation Identify and implement improvements to internal workflows, automations, and tools based on trends, edge cases, and teammate feedback Use data to monitor performance, uncover inefficiencies, and recommend scalable solutions Create and maintain clear, high‑quality documentation for both internal teams and external users Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Customer Success to strengthen workflows and enhance the Global Pay experience Share knowledge and best practices to support strong operational coverage across the team Mentor teammates and contribute to onboarding and training efforts Engage in ongoing learning opportunities to deepen technical, operational, and product expertise Step in as needed to support new initiatives, urgent issues, or broader team goals What You Bring 3–5+ years in payments operations, accounts payable, or financial ops Demonstrated ability to manage and troubleshoot complex payment processes Familiarity with payout platforms, international payment rails (e.g., SWIFT, ACH), and compliance frameworks Prior experience with client‑facing and cross‑functional collaboration roles Bonus: Experience with customer onboarding, SQL, payment analytics, or vendor coordination Key Strengths Technically savvy and curious: You’re confident navigating platforms, systems, and tools, and you’re eager to deepen your technical skills. Whether it’s picking up SQL, exploring automation tools, or testing workflows, you’re not afraid to get hands‑on and figure things out. Excellent communicator: You express yourself clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, and you’re comfortable working with customers, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.
