Application Support Analyst – (Remote – Argentina Only) Responsibilities Execute and Monitor Data Pipelines: Run and monitor scheduled ETL jobs and pipelines, understanding how data flows through a microservice-based architecture. Utilize monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics to track health, performance, and data streams, particularly from RabbitMQ and Kafka. Ensure Data Integrity: Perform thorough data validation and sanity testing on source and target data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Systematically compare and verify data across multiple sources and microservices to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies through regular data reconciliation. Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Analyze, diagnose, and resolve data pipeline failures, delays, and other operational problems within a distributed microservice environment. Work closely with cross-domain teams and microservice developers to triage data issues, facilitate prompt resolution, and elevate concerns to management before they impact timelines or business outcomes. Apply RDBMS Concepts: Utilize strong knowledge of relational database management system concepts such as database schemas, normalization, and keys (primary, foreign) during data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting tasks. Communicate Effectively: Proactively elevate issues to management with clear, factual assessments of potential impacts on timelines and business outcomes. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to communicate issue status and recommended actions. Identify and Document Defects: Document data quality and reconciliation issues, track them through resolution, and perform or assist in root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Contribute to Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing ETL, data validation, and reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall data reliability. Maintain Documentation: all data lineage, reconciliation reports, and process documentation are accurately maintained for transparency and accountability. Qualifications Proven experience in a data-focused role (ETL Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or ETL Tester) with a track record of performing data validation and reconciliation. Strong proficiency in SQL for querying databases and validating data. Understanding of ETL concepts. Knowledge of microservice-based architecture, RDBMS concepts, and how data integration is managed in a distributed system. Understanding of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or AppDynamics for investigating and tracking data-related issues. Working knowledge of message queues, particularly RabbitMQ and Kafka. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high of attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and timely issue escalation. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
