About the Role You will design and scale robust, highly available data pipelines and micro‑services, tackling complex data challenges with modern tools. This role offers significant influence, professional growth, and a collaborative environment that values accountability and a proactive mindset. Responsibilities Design and develop micro‑services for the data team (Java, K8s). Scale data pipelines to process billions of events in low‑latency real‑time and T+1 batch modes using ClickHouse, Spark, and Kafka. Tackle data duplication, velocity, schema adherence (and versioning), high availability, governance, and more. Develop and maintain Java‑based pipelines running on K8s in a micro‑service architecture. Plan and coordinate integrations with other teams that consume the data for insights creation. Continuously improve data storage and serving strategies, optimizing queries and data formats for diverse clients. Optimize queries in data warehouses to ensure completeness and reliability at scale. Requirements (Must‑Haves) BSc in Computer Science from a top university or equivalent. 3+ years of experience as a software engineer with strong Java expertise. Experience in data engineering and pipeline development. Proven skills with relational and NoSQL databases; proficient in SQL and query optimizations, preferably with ClickHouse. Familiarity with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Datadog). Strong object‑oriented development foundations. Curiosity, independence, and proactive problem‑solving. Excellent verbal and written communication in a remote environment. Upper‑intermediate English proficiency. Nice‑to‑Haves Experience with low‑latency real‑time systems processing billions of events daily. Knowledge of cloud data‑engineering technologies such as Apache Airflow, K8s, ClickHouse, Snowflake, Redis, Spark, caching, and Kafka.
