About the Opportunity We are partnering with a fast-scaling cross-border payments company operating across Latin America. Backed by recent M&A momentum and aggressive growth targets, we are hiring the company'sfirst-ever Chief Operating Officer (COO)tobuild, optimize and lead operations across multiple countries. You will be theCEO's right hand, owning the critical transition from founder-led operations to a scalable, structured, and efficient organization. What You'll Be Doing Own and scale core operations:payment processing, onboarding, treasury, compliance, fraud prevention, customer support, and merchant success. Solve real customer challenges hands-on, collaborating closely with sales, product, and tech to ensure successful API integrations and seamless payment journeys. Structure and lead regional teams, including country managers and operational leads. Build cadence, set standards, and increase accountability across markets. Collaborate on product rollout strategies, customer workflows, and support mechanisms that adapt to each market's regulatory and cultural landscape. Work directly with the CEO on day-to-day issues and long-term growth plans, ensuring delivery quality as the company grows from 100 to 500+ employees. Optimize cross-functional processes to reduce operational friction and elevate customer satisfaction. What We're Looking For 8–15 years of progressive leadership experience inpayments, fintech, or digital banking, ideally in multi-country LATAM settings. Proven track record building and leadingpayment operations, merchant onboarding, KYC, compliance, and/or treasury functions. Startup or scale-up experience: not just a process owner, but aproblem solverwho enjoys the building phase. Culturally agile, with the ability to coordinate remote teams across LATAM. Strategic thinker with the grit and humility to roll up your sleeves when needed. Executive communication skills—able to collaborate with board-level stakeholders and coach on-the-ground teams alike.
