Position Summary The Security Consultant participates in SOC2 and ISO 27001 engagements identifying gaps, advising, developing compliance documentation, and evaluating the security and compliance of client systems and services to meet requirements. Work Environment / Travel Travel up to 25% Standard office environment Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong personal initiative to manage time and meet deadlines Strong consulting skills; ability to advise and challenge status quo while building relationships Ability to build high‑trust relationships and credibility quickly High attention to detail Ability to facilitate meetings to small or large groups Diplomatic and broad‑minded Experience 3+ years of experience as a consultant within professional IT services Working knowledge of virtualization or cloud technologies Working knowledge of client‑server and traditional on‑premises architecture Knowledge of information security related solutions, tools, and utilities 2+ years of experience working on audits, readiness assessments, risk assessments, and/or policy review within ISO/IEC 27701:2022 and SOC 2 Certifications (Preferred) ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementor CISA Security+ Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor ISO 42001:2023 Lead Auditor AWS/GCP/Azure specific certifications Education Bachelor’s degree in IT or business, or equivalent combination of education and work experience Responsibilities Conduct advisory projects including workshops, gap analyses, system security plan development, policies and procedures development, risk assessments, and other consulting services as required. Provide IT system security consultation within cloud‑based and on‑premises environments in accordance with ISO 27001 and SOC 2. Assist with the development of Core Documentation (ISO 27001 Statement of Applicability, SOC2 System Description). Assist with developing ISO and SOC2 related policy and procedure documentation and prepare customers for assessments. Identify SOC2 and ISO 27001 gaps and recommend remediation. Collect and interpret client information, map to requirements and collaborate with project leads to determine overall compliance level. Manage priorities and tasks to achieve delivery utilization targets. Ensure quality products and services are delivered on time. Maintain industry specific certifications for continuous professional development. Collaborate with project managers, quality management, sales and other delivery team members to drive customer satisfaction and meet deliverables.
