About the Role We're seeking an experienced U.S. Tax Preparer with strong bookkeeping skills to join our remote team. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who understands both individual and business tax preparation and can maintain clean, accurate books throughout the year. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065) Assist with year‑end adjustments, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations Ensure compliance with IRS and state filing requirements Review client data for accuracy and completeness prior to filing Maintain and reconcile QuickBooks Online (QBO) accounts for assigned clients Record and categorize transactions, and reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly Prepare and maintain financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance) Post journal entries, record payroll transactions, and assist in monthly and year‑end closings Requirements Fluent English (B2/C1) and Spanish 3+ years of experience in U.S. individual and business tax preparation Strong understanding of U.S. tax forms: 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, Schedule C, Schedule E, etc. 2+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online (required) Quiet home office, stable internet (≥ 10 Mbps down / 2 Mbps up), and backup connection Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred Our Core Values at Work We live by ACTION (get things done), CARE (help others and do things right), OUTSTANDING (operate at the highest standards), DEPENDABLE (own every commitment), and ENERGY (bring positivity every day).
