Call for Applicants – CONICET Postdoctoral Fellowship The research group led by Dr. Corina Fusari at CEFOBI (CONICET/UNR) invites PhD holders in Biological Sciences or related to apply for a CONICET Postdoctoral Fellowship . About the project The postdoctoral project aims to identify genes involved in the genetic regulation of central metabolism and photosynthesis in plants grown in fluctuating environments. These processes, which are fundamental for plant growth and yield, will be addressed through an integrative strategy that combines: Phenotyping of populations under different environmental conditions using cutting-edge phenotyping platforms. Statistical analysis using specialized R packages Processing and integration of genomic databases Selection and functional validation of candidate genes Required profile PhD in Biological Sciences or related fields (completed or in the final stage of defense) Interest in bioinformatics and plant genomics Good knowledge of English Knowledge of statistics and R programming is desirable Workplace: CEFOBI (CONICET), Rosario, Santa Fe ⏳ Duration: 3 years Expected start date: August 2026 ️ Application deadline: February 27, 2026 The group works with state-of-the-art approaches (GWAS, phylogeny, and mutant phenotype analysis) using Arabidopsis thaliana as a model system, with transfer of results to agronomically relevant species such as sunflower. The group maintains active collaborations with research teams in Argentina, Israel, and Germany, and is associated with the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology (Golm, Germany).
