Senior Medical Manager – Argentina / Chile Affiliates RESPONSIBILITY – The responsibility of the Senior Medical Manager in the affiliates (Argentina – Chile) is to ensure the delivery of messages related to the benefits of our products, supported by scientific evidence, that are relevant to the health professional and to consumers, ensuring the indicated use, frequency, alone or as part of structured interventions and for the recommended time in order to achieve the proposed benefits. Also, he should support what ever is needed in Paraguay and Uruguay that depend directly on Argentina. 2. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS REPORTS TO : Latin America Regional Medical Director COORDINATES WITH : Medical Affairs is related to all areas of the affiliate in a transversal way. You must work in the leading team of the affiliate and in full coordination with the General Manager, adding value to the discussions and projects carried out. The primary areas with which he is involved are Marketing, Regulatory, Nutritional Sciences, OEC and Legal. 3. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES A. Local : a. Fulfill all reporting responsibilities on platforms, in an accurate, timely manner that reflects the work done and the training received. (Planview, Biweekly, Trackwise, Compliancewire, Pharmacovigilance – Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay; progress on the goals month by month; intellectual production; projects in which he is involved; self‑management of the position and continuous improvement plans, and others). b. Self‑management of the position. Although there is a general guideline for the work of the Senior Medical Manager, the worker must adjust the work and its dynamics to the affiliate(s) to be more effective and prioritize the processes. This is paramount in this position to avoid rework, work overload and be more effective. c. Initiate joint work with other areas, especially marketing, to be involved in all stages of the production process of promotional materials, special projects, product launches, and approvals. In this bilateral dynamic, training and deepening of science will be done with the marketing team and at the same time, the needs of health professionals and consumers will be known. In this specific process, national and international opinion leaders, as well as scientific societies and academia, should be strategically identified. d. To be able to carry out the work of the medical area it is necessary to be present at the key moments of the affiliate. Be in all meetings of the affiliate's leading group regardless of the objective and try to add value in discussions and projects. e. External engagement. Medical is Abbott's group of professionals who engage with local, regional and global thought leaders. This professional relationship is based on projects, education programs, need for feedback, opinion, conducting systematic reviews and consensus, publications, and others. The health professional, society and educational institution should perceive the relationship with Abbott representatives as a way of professional development, in an academic environment, free of opinions and focused on improving the health of our potential consumers through better clinical practice. The focus of this relationship should be focused on the identification, diagnosis, intervention and follow‑up of people who have indicated a justified nutritional approach for the use of our products as a solution to a medical need. f. Knowledge of the science around our products and focused specifically on their indications, form of use, approved benefits, and how they are included in evidence‑based clinical practice. Likewise, you will have the greatest knowledge of the science of each of our products, the approved benefits, their general composition and the key ingredients added and that represent specific benefits. g. In fulfilling the responsibilities described above, the marketing materials designed at the local level must be designed, suggested and approved, and the regional materials to be used in the affiliate must be reviewed. h. We must comply with the internal policies of the company, external of the country and manage our medical, ethical, scientific and legal standards in the development of our work. For this it is advisable to know the rules, policies, registrations, labels, regulatory categories, political environment that are related to our brands. i. Perform the Pharmacovigilance of the affiliate, investigating the cases of adverse reports, making follow‑ups and the respective reports both in the Regional and Global platforms. j. Planning and execution of the Continuing Medical Education program of the affiliate, responsible for the agenda, execution and measurement of the impact of each CME, through indicators. k. Adaptation of approved courses and materials, creation of educational strategies, research, consensus, advisory boards, and others, to achieve local objectives in the delivery of valid, up‑to‑date information that optimizes a clinical practice involving the use of Abbott products. l.
