Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically skilled Intelligent Insights Specialist to join EY GDS ES Finance Reporting and Data Analytics. The role requires transforming data into actionable insights, conducting comprehensive analytical analyses, creating compelling data visualizations, and communicating findings effectively to leadership teams across the globe. The specialist should have a deep understanding of the business context and strong financial domain knowledge to support strategic initiatives and informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis and Insight Generation – Derive and deliver actionable business insights from end-to-end data; collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives; perform in-depth analysis of complex data sets; develop financial, revenue, and predictive models; conduct trend analysis; lead comprehensive business segment reporting (sales, revenue, market analysis); create and maintain rich interactive visualizations integrating data from multiple sources. Communication and Presentation – Translate complex analytical findings into clear, understandable insights for leadership and non-technical audiences; prepare and deliver presentations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business questions. Business and Financial Acumen – Translate financial data into business insights; understand financial implications of data trends; align insights with organizational goals; stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape. Technical Proficiency – Design and create SQL queries, interpret advanced SQL, extract/manipulate data; leverage Power BI for interactive reports/dashboards; use advanced Excel; apply statistics to validate models (knowledge of statistical software or programming is a plus). Documentation and Reporting – Document methodologies and results; develop and maintain reports and dashboards; ensure accurate, governance-compliant reporting. Requirements Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills; proactive, self-motivated; capable of managing multiple projects. Proficient in data integration, data processes, and analytical thinking; solid grasp of SQL and data warehousing principles. Strong analytical reasoning, issue resolution, and project execution capabilities; excellent communication with stakeholders. Financial domain knowledge; familiarity with advanced analytics; ability to adapt in a changing environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information science, finance, data analytics, or related fields. 6–8 years of experience in financial reporting and analytics; 6+ years with Power BI and SQL Server.
