ABOUT YOU As a Paid Media Senior Associate at DEPT®, you will be an execution and optimization expert responsible for managing paid search & paid social campaigns, mastering best practices, and expanding your skill set. You will utilize your proficiency in campaign builds, daily monitoring, reporting, bidding, and beyond while consistently learning and taking charge of client success. This position is a launching pad for you to excel in SEM & paid social, audience strategy, and time‑management, ultimately transforming you into an actual paid search & social powerhouse. PROFICIENCY EXPECTATIONS We expect Senior Associates to have a basic foundation of paid search and paid social execution, analytical, and reporting expertise, with the proficiencies as listed below: Proficiency in Excel and Reporting: Demonstrate proficiency in using basic and advanced Excel functions and taking advantage of these functions and formulas when performing tasks (e.g., ad customization uses concatenation and length formulas) with limited oversight needed. Sorting, filters, VLOOKUP, concatenate, pivot tables, text to columns, conditional formatting. Core Paid Search & Social: Campaign builds – develop suggestions on activation strategy around campaign builds, overall themes, audience targeting, parameters, settings, and ads. Daily monitoring – understand what to look at daily to know when an action is needed based on performance fluctuations and trends. Able to analyze performance reports, explain performance fluctuations and why they occurred, and develop the client‑facing write‑up for the AM’s review. Understand different bidding methodologies (smart bidding vs. manual) and the strategy behind the bid adjustments as well as own the implementation from standard bids to other modifiers as needed. Able to create/pull pixels, tracking, remarketing, and list creation. Attend & actively participate in search or social‑specific training led internally or by channel partners to continue education. Assist Manager with inputs for slides in critical decks led by Client Partners, such as FBRs and tactical plans (e.g., performance charts/tables, tactical details, etc.). GROWTH EXPECTATIONS Over time in the role, we expect Senior Associates to be responsible for learning and understanding higher level concepts such as monitoring daily account performance and determining the best action based on performance fluctuation and trends; determining the best methodology for a campaign build; understanding key concepts around audience strategy; showing consistency with hitting project deadlines; and demonstrating time‑management skills. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 1.5 years’ paid search & paid social experience (Google Ads & Meta Ads a must) and be comfortable with budgeting, bidding, and testing methodology. Desire to quickly learn and master paid search and social strategy. Strong analytical and reporting skills and proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, concatenating, text to columns, love working with numbers). High level of independence, curiosity, and desire to grow responsibilities and skill set. Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
