A presentation production artist is a professional who creates and formats visual content for presentations, ensuring it aligns with a company's brand guidelines and meets the creative team's objectives. They translate complex data into visual elements, produce templates and master slides, and revise existing materials. This role focuses on the technical execution of design rather than the initial concept and requires strong skills in software like Adobe Creative Suite. In medical communications (med comms), publications are a primary means of disseminating evidence‑based medical information to healthcare professionals and researchers. Figure redraws are a common service within med comms agencies, used to create clear, compliant, and visually consistent figures for these publications and related materials such as Abstracts, posters, and slide decks for scientific meetings. Role Includes Create and format visuals: Design and produce visuals for digital and print, including charts, infographics, and icons for presentations. Maintain brand consistency: Ensure all work adheres to brand guidelines, including color palettes, fonts, and logos. Collaborate with teams: Work with other departments like marketing and product managers to align designs with strategic goals. Produce and revise materials: Create and update presentation templates and materials as needed. Manage projects: Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Quality control: Review and proofread files for technical accuracy and ensure high‑quality output. Software proficiency: Expertise in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is essential. Technical knowledge: Understanding of pre-press and printing standards, as well as file formats, is necessary for print production. Detail‑oriented: A strong eye for detail is crucial for ensuring accuracy in final files. Communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate ideas and collaborate with diverse teams. Creativity: While the role is more focused on execution, creativity is needed to produce compelling visuals. Responsibilities Mid-Level Graphic Designer: Core contributor to projects, owns bigger pieces, and is proficient at adhering to brand standards. Report to the Discipline Lead for project assignments; collaborate with creative teams for implementation and direction. Layout files, make prescribed edits, and prepare print files per vendor specifications. Must also be capable of developing scientific figure redraws (converting raw data into vector charts and graphs) for medical communication materials using Adobe Illustrator. Work closely with account, creative, and creative services departments as part of an integrated team. Deliver quality work on time and within budget. Create production-ready files for print and digital, including edits to existing layouts. Prepare mechanical print files according to vendor specs and brand style guides. Maintain server structure and guide others on file organization. Manage brand assets, logos, and workflow within the brand. Champion BoldSky workflow and contribute to process improvements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, with agency/studio experience. 5–10 years’ experience in Graphic Design. Expertise in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Extensive prepress knowledge including formats, resolution, and four-color printing. Excellent communication and direction-giving skills. Strong design sense: layout, composition, hierarchy, typography, and color. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
