Job Overview Wholesale Credit Risk assesses, permissions, and manages credit and counterparty risks on an industry, client, geographic, and transaction basis. Credit Risk is independent within Corporate Risk Management, reporting to the firm's Chief Risk Officer (CRO). The analyst utilizes analytical skills and credit and industry knowledge to support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients, collaborating with business teams to meet client requests while balancing risk-return needs of the firm. Responsibilities Conduct credit analysis and support deal teams seeking approval for lending and trading-related transactions, including operating exposures. Create written credit approval documents, presenting historical financial statements, related financial analysis, and future cash flow projections for large corporate borrowers. Develop forward-looking views of business, financial, and competitive risks associated with a company and sector. Manage and monitor a portfolio of client credit exposures across industry classes on an ongoing basis. Participate in negotiation, finalization, and execution of documentation for loans and derivatives. Review and assign risk ratings and maintain updated credit research on portfolio clients. Work with various banking coverage groups on allocation of capital for clients, maintaining threshold and industry limits. Required Qualifications Economics degree or equivalent with strong interest in finance; advanced student in any economics degree. Advanced English proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Preferred Qualifications Academic training in accounting principles, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macroeconomics.
