Remitee, a rapidly growing international Fintech focused on cross-border payments, is looking for a Tax Specialist to join our Accounting team. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for managing tax obligations, supporting compliance processes, and collaborating closely with Accounting, Finance, and external advisors to ensure Remitee meets all tax requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities · Prepare, review, and support tax filings and returns (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.). · Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions. · Support tax calculations, provisions, and reconciliations in coordination with the Accounting team. · Assist in tax audits, inspections, and requests from tax authorities. · Collaborate with external tax advisors and consultants when required. · Monitor changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the business. · Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax matters (if applicable). · Contribute to the improvement of tax processes, controls, and documentation. What We’re Looking For Must have: · Degree in Accounting or a related field . · Proven experience in a tax role , preferably in a multi-country environment. · Strong knowledge of corporate taxes, VAT, and withholding taxes . · Experience working with accounting systems and tax reporting processes. · High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. · Ability to manage deadlines and work independently. Nice to have: · Experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated industries . · Experience with tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions is a strong plus, particularly in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Spain, the United States, and Mexico. · Familiarity with transfer pricing and international tax matters. · Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors. · Advanced Excel skills or experience with financial systems/ERPs. · Professional certifications in tax or accounting (CPA, CTA, or similar).
