Job Overview We are seeking a senior-level and highly motivated Data Engineer . This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and implementing modern data solutions, and supporting key business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, Power BI, and Snowflake as a data warehousing platform. This individual will play a key role in driving business intelligence strategies and enhancing reporting capabilities across the organization. Key Responsibilities Requirement Gathering & Project Ownership: Work closely with Product and Technology stakeholders to gather requirements and help prioritize requests. Take ownership of projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business needs. Collaboration & Design: Partner with the Data Engineering team and data architects to expand and enhance a modern data warehouse platform that meets business and technical requirements. EDW Data Modeling & Engineering: Develop and manage enterprise data warehouse (EDW) data models and perform data engineering tasks to ensure clean, reliable, and scalable data for business insights. Data Pipeline Development: Design and develop data pipelines to support Snowflake EDW platform and Power BI models, leveraging tools such as dbt, SSIS, Snowpipes, Argo Workflows, Logic Apps, and Power Platform to automate and integrate business processes. Snowflake Integration: Integrate new data sources into Snowflake, optimizing performance and ensuring seamless data flow across platforms. Power BI Semantic Models Architecture & Design: Architect and design business-critical Power BI semantic models, providing a foundation for efficient reporting and analysis. Modify and upgrade existing Power BI semantic models based on user feedback, ensuring the models evolve with business needs. Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or related fields. Expert knowledge of OLAP data modeling and engineering within Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) Expertise with modern data platform architectures, including Snowflake and data lakes. Expert knowledge in designing and developing data pipelines, including tools such as dbt, Snowpipes, BigQuery, GCP, Argo Workflows, SSIS, Logic Apps and Power Platform . Expert knowledge of data integration and transformation processes. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to reverse engineer, troubleshoot, and optimize end-to-end BI solutions. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams. Knowledge of cloud platforms and big data technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus. Desired Experience Experience in Power BI , including semantic model architecture, dashboard/report design, DAX, and security configuration. Power BI and/or Snowflake certifications or other relevant BI-related certifications preferred. Deep knowledge of modern ETL/ELT tools and data orchestration platforms. Proven track-record in managing large-scale data projects and supporting high-performance data environments. Proven track-record in managing complex, large data sets and pipelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
