Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong leadership abilities to join our team in Buenos Aires. This role involves developing secure, high-performance distributed applications with a key focus on cybersecurity, cryptographic functions, and enterprise-grade Java solutions. You will play a vital role in project delivery, architecture design, and team mentoring within a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable Java-based applications. Oversee and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Design and implement security mechanisms such as tokenization and encryption. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and key performance indicators (KPIs). Apply design patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and software best practices. Develop and integrate REST APIs, Web Services, and data sources using JDBC and ORM frameworks. Work on cloud-based applications and modern infrastructure. Define and deliver operational readiness alongside business and third-party stakeholders. Contribute to and review high-level and low-level design documentation (HLD/LLD). Provide technical leadership in an onsite-offshore development model. Ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and secure development practices. Required Skills Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. Strong experience in REST, Web Services, Hibernate, Spring Batch, and SQL. Practical knowledge of cryptographic libraries, secure coding, and tokenization. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience in the payments domain (credit card processing, transaction handling, etc.). Ability to lead a development team and coordinate with global stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to tools for vulnerability scanning, secure coding, and dependency management (e.g., SonarQube, OWASP Dependency-Check, Snyk). Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure CI/CD pipeline practices. Experience working with regulated environments or financial services.
