Billing Specialist I – AMENTUM Duties and Responsibilities Prepare detailed invoice packages with appropriate documentation and backup as per standing policies and procedures. Prepare and reconcile labor postings for T&M billing. Prepare correcting journal entries for billing. Classify billable vs. non‑billable costs based on program standards. Validate accuracy of system transactions and research old transactions for billing. Conduct detailed unbilled analysis and AR aging analysis. Keep accurate and complete records and track invoice status. Follow up with field and U.S. based teams on invoice and cost status. Rework invoice rejections in a timely manner. Review and track contract funding. Respond to audit requests as necessary. Verify cost allocation and receive subcontract invoices. Perform other program accounting and billing work as directed. Education and Training Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Work Experience Requirement 3–5+ years in an Accounting or Finance related field. At least 2 years in an Accounting‑specific function. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong English communication skills, written and oral. Advanced math skills (University level). Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and propose solutions. Sound judgment and independent decision making. Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Word. Detail oriented and analytical. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics; Cost Point experience is a plus. Follow and accurately document processes and procedures.
