Technical Lead

Remote position - From Argentina or Uruguay Ryz Labs is looking for a Technical Lead to join our client's small, fast-moving team. You will work as a hands‑on engineering leader responsible for driving technical execution in an AI‑forward startup environment. This role blends deep individual contribution with leadership, ownership, and decision‑making. With a small engineering team, the Technical Lead plays a critical role in shaping the product, defining technical direction, and building scalable systems from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical owner for core product architecture and implementation Write production‑ready code and remain deeply involved in day‑to‑day development Lead technical decision‑making with a focus on speed, scalability, and long‑term maintainability Collaborate closely with founders, product, and design to turn ideas into shipped features Mentor and support a small engineering team through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance Establish lightweight but effective engineering processes suited for a startup environment Integrate and scale AI/ML capabilities within the product where they provide clear value Identify technical risks, manage trade‑offs, and make pragmatic decisions under uncertainty Own technical quality across the stack, including testing, performance, and reliability Qualifications Strong experience as a senior full stack software engineer in a startup or fast‑paced environment Proven ability to lead technical projects while remaining hands‑on Experience designing and building systems from early‑stage to production Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, tools, or AI‑powered products Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate with minimal structure Experience mentoring engineers and leading by example Strong problem‑solving skills and a bias toward execution Clear communication skills and comfort working directly with non‑technical stakeholders About RYZ Labs RYZ Labs is a startup studio built in 2021 by two lifelong entrepreneurs.
