Responsibilities Lead the test automation development for the Product Delivery Team, with in-depth knowledge of the test automation tech stack and QA processes. Coach and mentor SDETs, creating training plans, paired programming, and reviewing merge requests. Ensure test automation merge requests go through proper code reviews and act as official approvers for that team’s SDETs. Own the Quality Processes and Code Standards across the team. Understand existing system design, architecture, and business logic. Perform code reviews and monitor platform health using available tools. Work on and solve complex testing problems. Demonstrate ownership for automation and quality across the team. Create reusable scripts and tools as required. Act as a technical expert in the Product Delivery Team. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes with cross-functional teams. Lead in architecture discussions and actively contribute to technical discussions. Approve test automation merge requests for the Product Delivery team. Promote, recommend, and enforce coding standards and SOPs. Collaborate with other SDET Tech Leads on common pain points. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent technology experience. 5+ years of SDET/CI/CD/Automation experience. Expert in Java and/or .NET or similar. Experience using custom test automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD. Experience developing web, mobile and API automated test cases. Experience using test automation frameworks for script development. Experience writing test cases based on requirements. Thorough understanding of defect management process. Fluent in formal testing processes and test case writing. Ability to effectively communicate and mentor other SDETs on best practices for testing and test automation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to self‑direct priorities and identify work. Active mentoring of project team members on testing and test automation best practices. Ability to work with cross teams to resolve issues. Ability to partner closely with product managers to refine quality initiatives. Ability to articulate and champion design strategies related to test automation.
