Senior DBA

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to support, optimize, and manage our databases across multiple technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security of mission‑critical data systems, working with minimal supervision and collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams. Responsibilities Administer, configure, and optimize Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis databases. Manage database provisioning, upgrades, patches, and performance tuning. Operate and support AWS RDS, including monitoring, backups, fail‑over configuration, and cost optimization. Implement and maintain security policies, disaster‑recovery strategies, and high‑availability architectures. Collaborate with engineering teams to support application development, data modeling, and query optimization. Troubleshoot database incidents, identify root causes, and propose long‑term improvements. Document configurations, procedures, and best practices. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a DBA or similar role. Strong hands‑on experience with Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis. Proven expertise with AWS RDS (monitoring, backups, performance tuning, multi‑AZ, snapshots, etc.). Strong understanding of performance optimization, indexing strategies, and query analysis. Experience with high availability, replication, and backup/recovery strategies. Familiarity with Linux environments, shell scripting, and automation tools.
