Record and process monthly and quarterly journal entries to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data. Perform account reconciliations , investigate variances, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner. Prepare and reconcile cash accounts for designated clients, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal controls. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure financial reporting supports business needs and audit readiness. 20% Project-Based Accounting & Research Assist in the planning and execution of accounting activities related to special projects and initiatives. Conduct research on complex accounting issues, including compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory requirements. Provide recommendations based on findings to support accurate and compliant financial practices. 10% Financial Reporting & Analysis Participate in the preparation and distribution of internal and external financial reports. Support the development of financial analyses that inform business decisions and ensure compliance with reporting standards. 5% Process Improvement & Documentation Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring accounting processes, leveraging tools and technology to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Required Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting Minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience Strong Technical Accounting Expertise : Deep understanding of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles with the ability to apply them accurately in complex scenarios. Technology-Driven Mindset : Proactively leverages financial systems, automation tools, and data analytics platforms to streamline processes and enhance reporting efficiency. Analytical & Investigative Strength : Demonstrates sharp analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills; able to research and resolve discrepancies with precision and sound judgment. Effective Communication : Communicates clearly and professionally—both verbally and in writing—with internal teams and external clients; able to translate financial data into actionable insights. Organizational Agility : Manages multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and deadlines; maintains structure and clarity in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred. Experience with activity‑based costing or resource tracking methodologies to support operational efficiency and cost transparency. Proficiency with enterprise financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms. Background in shared services or multi‑site operational environments , with an understanding of centralized finance functions. Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards , including experience with variance analysis and performance reporting. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Exceptional interpersonal and cross‑functional collaboration skills ; able to influence and partner across departments.
