Role SDET Location Remote from Argentina/Canada Job Description As a Sr SDET , your role will be to design and implement automation strategies and frameworks to optimize testing processes and improve efficiency. You will work closely with project teams to identify automation opportunities, select appropriate tools, and ensure the successful implementation of automation solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for assessing the current test automation landscape and evaluating tool selection and standardization strategies. Responsibilities Assess Current Test Automation Landscape: Conduct assessments of the current test automation landscape through questionnaires and interview sessions. Evaluate the existing tool selection (TestComplete ) and standardization strategy to identify areas for improvement. Framework Assessment: Perform a comprehensive assessment of the automation frameworks in use and identify any gaps or areas for enhancement. Review the current automation code and best practices to ensure adherence to industry standards. Automation Roadmap Review: Review the current automation roadmap and conduct a cost-benefit analysis to assess its effectiveness. Provide recommendations for optimizing the roadmap and aligning it with business goals. Team Skills Evaluation: Assess the team's readiness for executing and maintaining the existing test scripts. Automation Best Practices: Define and promote automation delivery best practices within the organization. Organizational Roles and Responsibilities: Define and clarify organizational roles and responsibilities related to automation. Ensure clear communication and collaboration between teams involved in automation efforts. Suggest process improvements and follow up on their resolution. Automation Metrics and Reporting: Define automation metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of automation efforts. Establish reporting mechanisms to track and communicate automation results to stakeholders. Automation Strategies and Road mapping: Develop automation strategies and roadmaps that align with business objectives. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in automation practices. Requirements Proven experience as an Automation Lead or Architect role. In-depth knowledge of automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies. Proven programming skills in languages such as Python or C# . Experience with automation tools such as Selenium and TestComplete . Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to assess team skills and provide guidance for skills development. Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest automation trends and technologies.
