As a back‑end engineer at MasonHub, you are responsible for building the distributed services that drive our real‑time inventory and communications platform that provides the best experience for our clients and our operations team. That means what we build must be reliable, repeatable, and innovative. We can not and will not rest until we have delivered an experience that beats all others. We will learn together, fail together, and succeed together. Responsibilities and Duties Thrive Globally – We are a distributed engineering team with team members in the US and Canada. This role will build and lead an organization in your region/city. They will oversee a successful team member will thrive in a collaborative, but distributed, work environment. They are as comfortable expressing their ideas over a video call as they are in person and they are intrinsically motivated to do their best work. Deliver Excellent Software – The Regional Lead will be responsible for the team or teams under their remit and the delivery of the product or products those teams own. That will include setting a compelling client‑driven roadmap, managing complexity in an ever growing and evolving set of systems, and, most important of all, delivering a great product. Build the Team – While we are a distributed team, the Regional Lead will be responsible for building MasonHub’s technical presence in their region and maintaining the MasonHub culture. Lead Both Technical and Product – Great leaders at MasonHub balance the technical needs of our work with the product needs of our clients. Some Travel – While the engineering team is fully distributed, our software manages physical inventory, so visiting our Fulfillment Centers is a perk of the job, when safe to do so. Qualifications and Skills At least 8‑10 years experience managing teams that deliver world class software. Proven history to recruit excellent, product‑minded engineers and supporting functions. Experience communicating and leading asynchronously across time zones. A history of working with/designing distributed systems with high transactional volumes. You are not afraid to execute and you’re not afraid to ask for help. There is no space for anyone's ego on the team. Nice, but not necessary skills Experience in fulfillment or logistics related fields would be great. Experience in Go. We’ll teach you, but we also love being taught. A love affair with double entry ledgers.
