Overview We are looking for a talented senior frontend software engineer to join our fast-growing, mental health startup. In this role you will help lead frontend development for our healthcare platform and craft intuitive, performant, and scalable user interfaces. We are open to both full- and part-time engagements. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own core parts of the product, collaborate closely with design and backend teams, and contribute directly to the user experience. Our team members have worked for companies such as Amazon, Palantir, Citadel, Optiver, among others. Our primary mission is to improve treatment access and options for mental health. If you care about leveraging your engineering skills to make the world a better place, then this is the team for you Join us in our fight to revolutionize digital health and to destigmatize mental health care Responsibilities Own core parts of the frontend product and contribute to the user experience Collaborate with design and backend teams Lead frontend development, ensure performance and scalability Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers Address ambiguity in a startup environment and iterate toward product-market fit Qualifications Several years of relevant experience in frontend design and development Expertise in CSS/HTML and preprocessors (SASS or LESS) Experience with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6/ES8) Experience with modern JS frameworks (React, React Native, Redux, etc) Expertise in building responsive layouts Experience with modern browser technologies Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills Strong understanding of client-side performance optimization Ability to perform code reviews and mentor others Nice to have TypeScript Python Compensation Base pay range: $5,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Note: This range is provided by Orchid (YC W23).
