An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Accounts Payable Officer to join a highly respected finance team based in Sydney CBD. SAP Experience $75,000 - $80,000 + Super What you'll do: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process including overseeing the AP mailbox, verifying supplier invoices, posting transactions accurately, preparing weekly payment runs, and maintaining up-to-date supplier records. Process employee expense claims efficiently while ensuring strict alignment with company policies and resolving any discrepancies with claimants in a timely manner. Prepare and maintain reconciliations for assigned General Ledger accounts as well as all vendor accounts, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution of any variances identified during monthly reviews. Handle intercompany transactions by processing recharges, maintaining comprehensive supporting documentation, and completing reconciliations with group entities across Australia and New Zealand. Support year-end audit activities by providing auditors with required documentation, assisting with sampling requests, and collaborating closely with the Finance team throughout the audit process. Respond promptly to supplier enquiries by resolving invoice or payment issues effectively while nurturing strong relationships with external partners. Oversee fleet management tasks related to company vehicles including record-keeping, compliance checks, and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline existing procedures within the finance department. Perform ad hoc duties as required to assist the Finance team in achieving departmental goals and maintaining high standards of service delivery. Ensure compliance with all company policies as well as accounting standards while adhering strictly to Work Health & Safety (WHS) & Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations. What you bring: Demonstrated experience in end-to-end accounts payable management within a medium or large organisation where accuracy is paramount. Proven ability to process employee expense claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with internal policies and resolving discrepancies diplomatically. Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel for data analysis and Outlook for effective communication across teams. Mandatory working knowledge of SAP systems for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling you to liaise confidently with suppliers, colleagues, auditors, and other stakeholders. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance or commerce providing you with solid theoretical foundations for practical application. Exceptional attention to detail combined with a passion for producing high-quality work that meets rigorous standards every time. Ability to work independently under pressure while remaining flexible enough to collaborate effectively within a supportive team environment.
