At Improving, we are an IT services firm focused on AI, Data, and Applications. In this role, we’ll help bridge data science and software engineering by building and delivering LLM-powered capabilities and GenAI features. You’ll work with open-source LLMs to develop internal tools and integrate AI/ML features into existing applications and systems, taking ideas from experimentation through production in partnership with data science and engineering teams.
What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a GenAI / ML Engineer who can bridge the gap between data science and software engineering. We’ll have you working hands-on with open-source LLMs, building GenAI capabilities, and integrating them into internal tools and applications.
- Build and develop LLM-powered applications and GenAI features.
- Work hands-on with open-source models (including Qwen), including tuning and customization.
- Develop internal tools and capabilities around LLMs.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing applications and systems (not only greenfield development).
- Partner across data science and engineering to take ideas from experimentation through production.
- Use tools such as Claude Code to accelerate development and delivery.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong Python development experience.
- Experience working with Qwen or similar open-source LLMs.
- Experience building and/or tuning LLMs and GenAI applications.
- Strong software engineering and integration skills.
- Ability to collaborate across data science and engineering and translate ideas into production-ready implementations.
- Comfort working end-to-end, from experimentation to production delivery.
- Experience developing GenAI features and working with modern AI tooling.

Required
- Experience with additional open-source LLMs beyond Qwen.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern AI tooling and accelerators for GenAI development (e.g., Claude Code or similar developer tools).
- Track record of integrating model-driven features into production systems and internal applications.
- Comfort iterating quickly during experimentation while maintaining software engineering best practices.
