This position will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from technical design to deployment, ensuring that applications are highly concurrent, thread-safe, and optimized for Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader and self-driven expert in multi-threaded programming , proficient in modern development tools such as MS SQL Server and AI-assisted coding. A high level of proficiency in English is required, as the role involves daily interaction with U.S.-based stakeholders. This position is 100% on-site at our offices in Bogotá, Medellín, or Buenos Aires. What you will do: Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput, multi-threaded Java applications for North American clients.Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving concurrency bottlenecks, race conditions, and deadlocks. Work effectively within a Linux environment to deploy and manage services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams using GIT for version control.Integrate AI-driven tools like Copilot to optimize coding efficiency and quality.Manage and optimize database interactions using MS SQL Server. What you bring : 5+ years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong emphasis on multi-threading and concurrent programming. BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field.Deep understanding of the Java Memory Model, Executor services, and synchronization primitives. Strong proficiency in Linux environments.Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, GIT, and modern AI coding assistants (Copilot).Excellent English communication skills (ability to coordinate with U.S. stakeholders).Proactive attitude: Responsible, agile, and quick to adjust to new technical challenges. Nice if you have: Experience in SaaS or IT Consulting.Familiarity with Microservices architecture.Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
