Mercedes-Benz Richmond is currently looking to fill aposition of aService Receptionist. The primaryfunction of the Service Receptionist is to administer to incoming walk intraffic & answering & properly directing inbound dealership callsthrough to the parts and service department. Greetcustomers upon their arrival at dealership. Answerall incoming calls promptly, and direct call to appropriateindividual. Handlegeneral inquiries from callers. Communicatewith all callers in a friendly, efficient and professional manner andattempt to minimize the amount of time they are placed on hold. Refermessages to correct party in a timely manner. Informtelephone company maintenance department of any switchboardmalfunctions. Collectpayment from customers and issue receipts for goods and services. Prepareinvoices and record amounts received. Provide cashrefunds or issue credit memoranda to customers for returned goods, asauthorized by manager. Record/balancetotals shown on cash register tapes or computer records; ensure invoiceamounts and payment methods correspond; verify cash on hand tofloat. Handlecustomer complaints with integrity and confidence and, if necessary,direct customers to Service Advisor or other appropriateindividuals. Operatecredit card machines; verify balances at end of day and advise managerimmediately of any cash shortages. Follow closeout procedures and final balancing at end of shift Ensure workarea is neat and clean and exhibit an informed, professional approach withall customers. Performclerical duties such as arranging for couriers and proofreading, andassist other administrative departments as necessary. Attend alldepartment meetings. Follow allcompany and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures. Perform anyother duties as required.
