Role Overview:

As the Superintendent Resource Geology, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership and strategic direction to the resource geology team. This position involves overseeing resource modeling, exploration programs, and resource development to ensure optimal utilization of mineral resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage resource geology systems, ensuring accurate resource modeling for effective mine planning. Provide technical direction to the exploration team to identify and evaluate potential mineral resources. Collaborate with mining technical services and metallurgical teams to optimize ore treatment processes. Manage geological databases to ensure accurate and timely reporting of exploration and resource data. Assist in the development and control of operating and capital budgets for geological activities. Establish and maintain control of critical geological parameters utilizing advanced geological systems. Develop and execute exploration and resource development projects to enhance mineral reserves. Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to enhance operational efficiency and safety in resource geology. Challenge operational norms to drive continuous improvement and optimize resource utilization. Analyze geological data and recommend improvements, supporting change management initiatives. Oversee major geological projects using effective project management methodologies. Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and occupational health policies in resource geology. Develop the team's capabilities and maintain up-to-date job procedures within the geological department.

Required Skills & Experience:

Extensive experience in resource geology, including managerial roles in geological exploration. Comprehensive knowledge of resource modeling, exploration techniques, and resource estimation. Proven leadership abilities with a focus on safety, team development, and mentorship. Successful implementation of continuous improvement strategies in resource geology. Proficiency in geological databases and integrated management systems. Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
