Clinical Line Manager

The position

• As a Clinical Research Associate Line Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to:
• Manage a team of clinical staff working in support of clinical studies to ensure projects are appropriately resourced and employees are trained and meet the project objectives.
• Provide line management and oversight to Novo Nordisk CRAs and CTAs staff under your reporting line.
• Continuously evaluate performance and individual learning & development needs against role expectations.
• Hire, onboard, and integrate new employees.
• Identify quality risks and issues and create appropriate corrective action plans.
• Conduct co-monitoring visits for coaching and sign-off for new monitors.
• Organize and attend meetings with CRO vendors.
• Identify and engage with new sites and investigators in new therapeutic areas.
• Conduct the evaluation of study feasibility.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor or other degree in Life Sciences or equivalent, e.g., medicine, pharmacy-biochemistry, biology, among others.
• Experience from a similar position in the pharmaceutical industry or Clinical Research Organization (CRO).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical research.
• 2 years’ experience as a Team Manager in clinical trials.
• Advanced English and Spanish (written and spoken).

About the department
The Clinical-Medical-Regulatory & Quality department at Novo Nordisk is responsible for running all clinical development activities from initial planning of clinical trials towards authority submission. We investigate patients’ reactions to new drugs, compare them to existing products, and run a set of trials in human beings. Our team provides resources, processes, and competencies in Biostatistics and Programming, Clinical Reporting, Data Management, Epidemiology/Real World Evidence, and Clinical Pharmacology to all development projects. We strive to align processes, develop competencies, and share knowledge to ensure the successful planning and execution of clinical trials.
