Job Summary:
This position requires a strong understanding of the full cycle of new and repaired mechanical orders including the DCI process, quoting and concluding with delivery and acceptance. The Manufacturing Manager ensures that dates are in control and determines if we need to outsource processes and/or work overtime to meet delivery dates. The Manufacturing Manager manages the availability of manufactured parts, purchased parts, and outside operations to align with Flowserve’s shop labor. This position reports to the QRC General Manager and has direct reports.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will be around several aspects
- Supplies :
o Led the process of identify and develop new suppliers in region (packaging activities)
o Create required logistics to coordinate manufacturing + quality + supply chain
- Manufacturing :
o Led the transformation on Flowserve Mendoza plant to design, develop and maximize the resources to accommodate production for OE equipment
o Lead the implementation of CAPEX
o Lead the HR operations change (new recruitment, training, defining processes)
o Following up for metrics (productivity, efficiency, scrap, etc.)
- Systems :
o Participate on the ERP implementation with all required actions in the operations area
- Expansion of aftermarket activities:
o Coordinate the CAPEX, and implementations plan (required people, training, manpower, equipment, logistics)
o Coordinate the full implementation for processes (Safety, Quality).
- Leadership
o Manage a team (4 Direct, 42 indirect)
- And any other duties assigned
Experience / Skills:
- Willing to work 100% in Mendoza facilities
- English proficiency is required
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree in Business Administration is a plus.
- 8-10 years of experience in relevant field (metalworking, pumps, etc.)
- Must have at least 5 years of full P&L responsibility which includes standard cost systems, manufacturing operation, supply chain/ purchasing, quality assurance, inside sales and product development.
- Experience with foreign markets, managing operations in remote locations, and export controls necessary.
- Familiarity with financial and operational reporting, metrics, and performance management systems required.
- Strong leadership skills are necessary, especially the ability to influence across an organization and build high performing teams
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes are a must for the position.
