At Bluebird Care, we ensure the safety and wellbeing of the elderly and vulnerable in the comfort of their homes as an alternative to residential care homes.

Salary - £735 - £875 per week

Locations Include: Gravesend, Dartford, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Canterbury, Thanet, Dover and Folkstone

Being a Live-in Carer offers a real sense of purpose and immense job satisfaction. During these challenging times, your role as a Live-In Caregiver could make all the difference to the life of your customer. Live-in Healthcare Assistants may also provide respite for customers who have been in hospital or deteriorated slightly and feel they need Live-In support for a short period until they recover.

You will enjoy the special privilege of living in a customer's home, keeping them safe and comfortable. You will use your excellent communication skills to build unique relationships with people from all walks of life with different backgrounds and needs, lifestyles and personalities, and cultures.

We provide full training, support and opportunities to our amazing Live-in Carers. The role of a Live-in Carer is similar to other Care roles with one notable exception, you are not a visitor, but a key part of the household.

The tasks a Live-in Carer will undertake:

  • Assisting customer with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, bathing and toileting.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linen.
  • Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of customers.
  • Accompany customers to medical appointments, shopping trips etc.
  • Observe, monitor and record clients physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to the office.
  • Encourage customers to be independent.
  • Support with medication.
  • Assisting customers with meal preparation/fluids.
  • Support customers with social activities, also companionship.
