About the Role

Our client, a leading sports marketing and management firm in Sandton , is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Sponsorship Manager . This role is pivotal in identifying, securing, and nurturing sponsorship opportunities for athletes, events, and sports properties across Gauteng . You will be responsible for developing compelling proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring maximum value for both sponsors and clients. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional business development skills, a deep understanding of the sports industry, and a proven track record in securing high-value partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential corporate sponsors aligned with client objectives and brand values.
• Develop and deliver persuasive sponsorship proposals and presentations to prospective partners.
• Negotiate and finalize sponsorship agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring successful activation and renewal.
• Collaborate with marketing and event teams to develop and execute integrated sponsorship activation plans.
• Analyze sponsorship performance and provide regular reports on ROI and key metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in sports sponsorship sales, business development, or corporate partnerships.
• Proven success in identifying, negotiating, and closing significant sponsorship deals.
• Excellent understanding of the sports landscape and sponsorship activation strategies.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with corporate clients and stakeholders.
