Architect / Architectural Drafter – NYC DOB Experience Required (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Architect or Architectural Drafter to support architectural projects based in New York City. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) requirements, architectural drawing sets, building codes, and zoning regulations.

Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and revise architectural drawings for NYC projects. Develop drawing sets for NYC DOB submissions and approvals. Make revisions based on DOB comments and project requirements. Work with architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction documents. Ensure drawings comply with NYC Building Codes, zoning regulations, and DOB requirements. Coordinate project documentation with architects, engineers, and project teams. Work with AutoCAD and/or Revit to produce accurate architectural documentation. Support projects involving renovations, alterations, façades, and other NYC construction work.

Requirements:
Previous professional experience working on New York City architectural projects. Hands-on NYC DOB experience is required. Experience preparing or modifying drawings for DOB submissions. Strong understanding of NYC Building Codes and zoning regulations. Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Good written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to work remotely and coordinate with a US-based team. Nice to have: Previous experience working remotely for a New York architecture, engineering, or construction firm. Experience with DOB filings, permit sets, or responding to DOB comments. Knowledge of façade, scaffolding, renovation, or alteration projects. New York State architectural license is a plus but not required. Compensation: $8–$9 USD per hour, depending on experience.
