Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research teams and labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for experienced infrastructure and network security professionals to help us make AI smarter about how real-world security works. Your hands-on knowledge of enterprise security — the tools, the failures, the edge cases — is exactly what's needed to evaluate and improve the next generation of AI-driven security systems. This is a unique opportunity to apply your practitioner expertise to frontier AI development, on your own schedule.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
•
Location:
Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to identify what went wrong, why, and what the business impact was
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational data
• Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems
• Clearly articulate root causes, attacker techniques, and defensive gaps in a structured format Who You Are
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security
• Familiar with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security gateways, IAM systems, and SIEMs
• Strong understanding of how security controls are deployed and operated in real enterprise environments
• Able to explain complex security issues clearly — root causes, business impact, and remediation — in plain language
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and asynchronously Nice to Have
• Experience in threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) or hybrid enterprise environments
• Background in writing security documentation, post-mortems, or runbooks
• Prior experience working with AI or data labeling workflows Why Join Us
• Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top-tier research labs
• Fully remote and flexible — complete tasks on your own schedule
• Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
• Put your real-world security expertise to work on meaningful, high-impact projects
• Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
