JOB PURPOSE:
The Director,
Psychosocial Interventions (PSI) provides strategic leadership, direction, and
oversight for the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Naufar's
psychosocial interventions services. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer,
the role is accountable for establishing and executing a comprehensive
psychosocial service strategy that supports Naufar's mission, strategic
objectives, model of care, and commitment to exceptional patient outcomes.
The Director leads
the development of innovative, evidence-based psychosocial intervention
programs, ensuring integration across the continuum of addiction treatment,
mental health, rehabilitation, recovery, and community reintegration services.
The role oversees clinical governance, service excellence, workforce
capability, operational effectiveness, and performance outcomes while fostering
a culture of innovation, research, continuous improvement, and person-centered
care.
As a key member of the clinical leadership
team, the Director advises the Chief Medical Officer on psychosocial services,
clinical practice developments, workforce planning, service transformation, and
emerging best practices, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements,
accreditation standards, and national healthcare priorities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Organizational
Leadership & Service Integration
Develop and lead the long-term strategic vision,
objectives, and operational plans for Psychosocial Interventions services.
Ensure alignment of departmental initiatives with
Naufar's strategic priorities, clinical objectives, and model of care.
Lead cross-functional
initiatives that promote integration of psychosocial interventions across
clinical programs and ensure alignment with organizational priorities,
patient-centered care principles, and service excellence standards.
Clinical
Governance & Quality Excellence
Establish and maintain the governance framework,
quality assurance structure, and clinical oversight mechanisms for Psychosocial
Intervention services across Naufar.
Provide executive oversight of clinical governance
systems within Psychosocial Interventions services.
Ensure delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based,
and patient-centered psychosocial care.
Monitor compliance with clinical standards,
accreditation requirements, regulatory obligations, and professional practice
frameworks.
Psychosocial
Program Development & Innovation
Lead the
development, implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of psychosocial
intervention programs and therapeutic services.
Champion
innovative approaches, emerging treatment modalities, and evidence-informed
practices
Drive service redesign initiatives to improve accessibility,
effectiveness, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Multidisciplinary
Clinical Leadership
Provide strategic and professional leadership to
multidisciplinary psychosocial teams.
Foster collaboration and integration across clinical,
medical, nursing, allied health, recovery, education, and community services.
Establish high-performance expectations and
accountability frameworks.
Performance
& Outcome Management
Establish performance measures, quality indicators,
and outcome-monitoring frameworks for psychosocial services.
Monitor departmental performance and implement
corrective actions where required.
Ensure service outcomes support organizational
objectives and industry benchmarks.
Evidence-Based
Practice & Professional Development
Promote a culture of evidence-based practice,
innovation, continuous learning, and professional development across
Psychosocial Intervention services.
Ensure clinical services are informed by current
research, industry best practices, and emerging trends in behavioral health
and addiction treatment.
Lead the
implementation of outcome measurement and service evaluation frameworks to
support quality improvement and enhanced patient outcomes
Policy,
Standards & Regulatory Compliance
Oversee the development, implementation, and review of
psychosocial policies, procedures, and clinical practice standards.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations,
accreditation requirements, and professional standards.
Lead departmental readiness for regulatory reviews,
audits, inspections, and accreditation assessments.
Maintain effective governance processes that support
organizational compliance.
Strategic
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain productive relationships with
internal and external stakeholders.
Represent Naufar in professional, governmental,
academic, and healthcare forums related to psychosocial services.
Strengthen partnerships that support service
excellence, innovation, education, prevention, and research initiatives.
Promote collaborative approaches to advancing
organizational and national healthcare objectives.
Workforce
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead workforce planning, succession planning,
recruitment, retention, and talent development initiatives within the
department.
Ensure the availability of appropriately qualified and
competent psychosocial professionals.
Foster professional growth through coaching,
mentoring, supervision, and leadership development.
Promote employee engagement, wellbeing,
accountability, and high performance.
Resource
& Budget Management
Lead the development and management of departmental
budgets, resource plans, and operational priorities.
Ensure effective utilization of financial, human,
technological, and physical resources.
Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for
efficiency and value optimization.
Support sustainable service growth while maintaining
fiscal responsibility.
Risk
Management & Service Assurance
Identify strategic, clinical, operational, financial,
and reputational risks affecting psychosocial services.
Ensure appropriate mitigation strategies and control
measures are implemented.
Monitor incidents, trends, complaints, and service
risks to ensure continuous improvement.
Contribute to organizational risk management and
business continuity planning.
Executive
Advisory Services
Serve as the principal advisor to the Chief Medical
Officer on psychosocial intervention services.
Provide expert recommendations on service development,
workforce strategy, quality improvement, innovation, and clinical best
practices.
Contribute to executive and organizational
decision-making processes.
Prepare and present
reports, analyses, recommendations, and strategic business cases to senior
leadership committees.
Requirements
Professional/Academic
Qualifications:
Doctorate (PhD, PsyD, DClinPsy, EdD, or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.(MANDATORY) Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Behavioural Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.(MANDATORY) Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Behavioural Health, Mental Health, Healthcare Management, or related healthcare discipline.(MANDATORY)
Experience:
MANDATORY Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in behavioural health, addiction treatment, mental health, psychosocial interventions, or related healthcare settings. Minimum 7 years in progressive senior leadership or director-level positions. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, governance, quality management, and service transformation. Experience leading research, innovation, or academic initiatives.
Qualifications:
