You will support a bonds and derivatives trading product set by ensuring timely, accurate trade capture in Risk Management Systems, completing intraday and end-of-day reconciliation processes, and executing required controls. You will build a detailed understanding of trading structures from both financial and operational perspectives and partner closely with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to resolve queries, manage exceptions, and continuously improve processes and business architecture. Job Responsibilities
• Trade Capture & Book Management
• You will capture all bonds and derivatives transactions accurately and on time in the Risk Management Systems.
• You will complete intraday and end-of-day processes, including completeness checks, reconciliation checks, and general book management activities.
• Controls & Issue Resolution
• You will perform, evidence, and sign off all required controls within agreed timelines.
• You will communicate clearly and concisely with support teams to drive timely investigation and resolution of queries and breaks.
• You will partner with Operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a “one team” approach and coordinated issue resolution.
• Product Understanding & Continuous Improvement
• You will build and maintain an in-depth understanding of trading structures across bonds and derivatives (e.g., Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, FRAs, FX, Zero Coupon Swaps, OIS, futures).
• You will contribute to strategic initiatives to improve and evolve processes and business architecture. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
• Bachelor’s degree completed (or equivalent relevant professional experience).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trading support, trade capture, reconciliations, controls, or front-to-back Operations for bonds and/or derivatives.
• Understanding of derivatives and hedging products (e.g., Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, FRAs, FX, Zero Coupon Swaps, OIS, futures, bonds).
• Knowledge of front-to-back Operations processes, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting, with the ability to facilitate issue resolution across teams.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with structured problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong control mindset, attention to detail, and disciplined ownership of tasks and exceptions.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate, explain, and appropriately challenge.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills.
• Excel VBA skills.
• Familiarity with key infrastructure functions (e.g., Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Legal, Collateral) and the downstream impact of trade support actions. J.
