Partner with the best The Drilling Optimization Engineer is responsible for early detection of drilling hazards and development of recommendations for optimizing drilling operations. In addition to previous drilling and data acquisition experience, the Drilling Optimization Engineer will accomplish this by utilizing pre-determined event fingerprinting, data validation and Well Engineering & Project Management best practices As a Drilling Optimization Engineer
- Technical Support, you will be responsible for:
·       Monitoring real-time data throughout drilling and completion operations for one or more wells.
·       Learning and assisting with recognizing trends in real-time data which relate to improvement opportunities or health of the well and the avoidance of drilling hazards
·       Developing daily reports which include essential measured data and descriptions on activities, trends and recommendations for improvements.
·       Collecting and applying drilling data (both realtime and recorded), such as but not limited to SPP, torque, RPM, block height and downhole LWD data.
·       Assisting with and ensuring essential personnel have access to real-time information or are informed in a timely manner of improvement opportunities or trends that suggest potential drilling hazards. This will include assisting field operations personnel with data analysis and assist decision making.
·       Performing torque and drag, hydraulics analysis in real-time with Baker Hughes system for proper hole cleaning and avoid any NPT
·       Analyzing of drilling surface parameters such as ROP, WOB, Torque, Hook Load, Standpipe and any other available data. Complete Vibration analysis
- Stick slip, Bit/BHA Whirl and Bit Bounce.
·       Assisting in developing communication plans to provide performance feedback to job sites and operational stakeholders; monitor effectiveness and adjust as necessary
·       Meeting and engaging with customers, rig managers, drillers, and operations team on a regular basis to present drilling optimization applications and trends, and help to identify and capture opportunities for performance improvement. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Petroleum Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in drilling optimization, drilling data analyst, well engineering, field operations, and well construction. Competence should include drill bits/mills, drilling BHA design, drilling engineering simulations, drilling field operations, drilling preparation of programs, or similar.
• Experience working in Well Construction, in Vaca Muerta or Permian Basins.
• Experience using Itrak Hydraulics application Jewel Suite Drilling Evaluation, WellLink Performance, and Corva.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills to work well with colleagues across all businesses/cultures, achieve objectives through effective influencing, and establish credibility with senior leaders.
• Have excellent analytics and problem-solving, including ability to form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information.
• Have excellent English and Spanish oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex topics into clear and simple messages.
