About the role
The Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and proper documentation. This role is primarily operational and transactional, working closely with the accounting and finance team to maintain reliable financial records and support reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record vendor invoices and expenses in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process payment orders and support the accounts payable cycle.
- Issue customer invoices and ensure proper documentation.
- Post and allocate customer collections and payments (accounts receivable).
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash controls.
- Support month-end closing activities (reconciliations, basic accruals, checks).
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, sales, finance) to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements
- Degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency working with ERP systems (D365 Business Central preferred).
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (Portuguese is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Technical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable working with accounting systems and financial data.
- Strong accuracy and consistency in transactional work.
Management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Proactive, organized, and reliable.
- Ability to manage routine tasks and meet deadlines.
Location
: This position requires
3 days per week in the office.
