Our client is a U.S.-based apparel brand and design studio known for blending classic tailoring, sportswear, and heritage-inspired design with a modern, inclusive approach. They operate a high-traffic direct-to-consumer ecommerce business with a strong focus on product launches, merchandising execution, and delivering a high-quality customer experience through their online storefront.

Role Overview

The E-commerce Manager (Shopify & Site Optimization) will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the Shopify storefront. This hands-on role focuses on site execution, product merchandising, and conversion optimization to ensure a seamless, accurate, and high-performing online shopping experience that supports launches, promotions, and ongoing growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesShopify & Ecommerce Operations
  • Manage daily and weekly Shopify updates, including product uploads, pricing changes, image updates, copy edits, variants, and tags.

  • Maintain and optimize product detail pages (PDPs) to improve clarity, usability, and conversion performance.

  • Manage collections, site navigation, homepage updates, banners, and merchandising tied to launches and promotions.

  • Build, update, and QA landing pages and campaign links to ensure accuracy and a smooth user experience.

  • Maintain promo codes, attribution links, and on-site merchandising related to campaigns and launches.

  • QA all site updates across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Site Optimization & CRO
  • Implement site and PDP improvements focused on conversion rate optimization and overall user experience.

  • Identify friction points in the customer journey and recommend actionable improvements.

  • Execute CRO-related updates such as layout adjustments, content hierarchy improvements, and UX refinements within Shopify.

  • Monitor site health and performance, flagging bugs, speed issues, or functionality concerns to internal teams or external partners.

  • Evaluate Shopify features and third-party apps to identify opportunities for site enhancement and operational efficiency.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Monitor key ecommerce metrics including conversion rate, bounce rate, AOV, and cart abandonment.

  • Prepare regular performance summaries and surface insights related to site performance and optimization opportunities.

  • Use data to inform recommendations for improving the on-site shopping experience.

  • Partner with internal ecommerce and merchandising leadership on merchandising strategies and execution.

  • Support inventory visibility, product availability updates, and site readiness ahead of launches.

QualificationsExperience
  • 2–4+ years of experience in ecommerce operations, Shopify management, or ecommerce optimization.

  • Strong hands-on experience working directly within Shopify.

Skills
  • Solid understanding of ecommerce UX and conversion optimization best practices.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and execution skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and act on insights.

  • Comfort working with spreadsheets and site performance data.

  • Ability to manage multiple site updates simultaneously with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Strong collaboration skills when working with cross-functional ecommerce and merchandising teams.

What Success Looks Like
  • Shopify site updates are executed accurately and on time with minimal errors.

  • Product pages and collections are consistently optimized for usability and conversion.

  • Site performance issues are identified early and addressed efficiently.

  • Ecommerce leadership has clear visibility into site performance and optimization opportunities.

  • Launches and promotions are supported by a clean, well-maintained, and high-performing storefront.
