The company operates fully remotely, supporting US-based clients with a globally distributed team.

Role Overview

Our client is seeking experienced Controllers who thrive in dynamic, people-driven environments and enjoy interim and project-based work.

In this role, you will be assigned to 1–2 clients at a time, providing dedicated interim Controller support during periods such as maternity leaves, temporary coverage needs, or business transitions. Assignments may be half-time or full-time and will vary over time.

This role is ideal for Controllers who are self-driven, adaptable, and relationship-oriented, and who enjoy stepping into new client environments and adding value quickly.

Key Responsibilities
Client Financial Leadership

Step into client environments quickly to provide interim Controller support with minimal ramp-up time.

Lead month-end close meetings with clients and internal teams, presenting financial results clearly and confidently.

Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and key reports.

Analyze budget-to-actual variances and communicate risks and opportunities.

Prepare cash flow forecasts and provide actionable recommendations.

Act as a primary liaison with clients' external advisors, including CPAs, bankers, and attorneys.

Team Leadership & Quality Control

Lead, mentor, and support accountants on assigned engagements.

Review and ensure accuracy across key financial processes, including:

Balance sheet reconciliations

AP / AR

Cash management

Month-end journal entries

Payroll integrations

Implement and maintain strong internal controls.

Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all client engagements.

Internal Responsibilities

Adapt to changing client assignments and priorities over time.

Build strong relationships quickly with new clients and internal stakeholders.

Meet or exceed billable expectations while maintaining service excellence.

Complete internal deliverables such as time tracking, capacity planning, and quarterly initiatives.

Represent the company's values and mission in all client interactions.

Maintain the highest standards of data security, compliance, and asset protection.

Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and best practices.

Qualifications

8–10 years of experience as a Controller (flexible for exceptional candidates).

Strong background in accounting and financial management, ideally within professional services, outsourced accounting, small businesses, or nonprofits.

Proven experience leading accounting teams and managing client-facing engagements.

Deep understanding of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working directly with US-based clients.

Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable mindset.

Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

Work Environment & Compensation

Employment Type: Full-time employee 

Work Model: 100% remote

Location: Argentina (no city restriction; strong internet connection required)

Time Zones: Flexible across US Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific

Compensation: USD 30,000 to USD 45,000 annually, depending on experience
