Descripción de Puesto: Backend Engineering Manager - Liderazgo Estratégico

¿Eres un líder dinámico y con amplia experiencia técnica en Backend Engineering? Buscamos un Backend Engineering Manager experimentado para liderar un equipo de 60-80 profesionales talentosos, incluyendo la gestión directa de otros Gerentes Técnicos. Este rol estratégico, que reporta directamente a una Subdirección, es clave para garantizar la escalabilidad, la fiabilidad y la entrega de valor de negocio a través de la excelencia técnica.

Responsabilidades Principales:

Liderazgo de Líderes y Gestión Ejecutiva:

  • Liderazgo Estratégico de Managers (Nivel Ejecutivo): Experiencia demostrada gestionando otros Gerentes Técnicos o Subgerentes. Liderar el mentoring y desarrollo del talento gerencial para escalar el liderazgo dentro de la organización.

  • Estandarización y Accountability: Definir y garantizar la coherencia técnica y la estandarización de procesos (como ejecución ágil, revisiones de código, entregas) en todas las células de ingeniería bajo su supervisión.

  • Rendición de Cuentas: Ser el responsable final del desempeño, productividad y retención del talento de los equipos liderados por sus managers.

Gestión de Escala y Multiculturalidad:

  • Liderar una organización técnica distribuida geográficamente personas), construyendo y motivando equipos de alto rendimiento, gestionando con éxito las diferencias culturales y operativas en entornos remotos y multiculturales de gran escala.

Toma de Decisiones Críticas y Trabajo Bajo Presión:

  • Ser capaz de operar eficientemente bajo alta presión y en entornos de misión crítica, tomando decisiones rápidas, contundentes e informadas a nivel técnico y organizacional.

Gestión de Portafolios y Complejidad:

  • Tener dominio en la dirección de un portafolio de proyectos estratégicos de alta complejidad. Implementar y optimizar marcos ágiles a nivel organizacional como SAFe, Scrum y Kanban.

Ruta Tecnológica y Visión Arquitectónica:

Este rol será el responsable de definir y ejecutar la hoja de ruta tecnológica de la división Backend, enfocándose en la innovación, la optimización de costos y la resiliencia.

Estrategia de Evolución de Arquitectura:

  • Ser el responsable final de la estrategia de migración y evolución de la arquitectura. Liderar la transición hacia modelos de microservicios altamente desacoplados y eficientes.

Adopción Tecnológica y Modernización:

  • Impulsar la adopción de tecnologías clave (GO, PHP, Python) y servicios nativos en la nube (AWS, Azure). Evaluar y seleccionar nuevas tecnologías core (como Oracle, MongoDB, Redis) que soporten los objetivos de negocio y la escalabilidad.

Plataforma de Fiabilidad (SRE/Observabilidad):

  • Dirigir la estrategia para desarrollar y mejorar los sistemas de observabilidad. Liderar la implementación de prácticas de Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) y herramientas como NewRelic y Sumologic para asegurar un monitoreo continuo y métricas de desempeño (SLOs/SLAs).

Orientación a Producto y Entrega de Valor:

Alineación Estratégica y Valor:

  • Actuar como el principal socio técnico del equipo de Producto a nivel ejecutivo. Traducir la visión del negocio en una hoja de ruta técnica ejecutable, asegurando que el esfuerzo de ingeniería se traduzca en valor medible y tangible para el cliente final.

Excelencia en Ejecución:

  • Enfoque constante en la mejora de los flujos de trabajo y procesos de desarrollo, utilizando métricas de la industria para maximizar la eficiencia y la calidad de las entregas.

Requisitos Clave:

  • Dominio Cloud y Orquestación: Experiencia extensiva en AWS y Azure, con dominio avanzado de Kubernetes para la orquestación.

  • Ecosistema Tecnológico Core: Experiencia estratégica en GO, PHP, Python, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis.

  • Deseable - Experiencia en Streaming: Conocimientos en protocolos de entrega de video como HLS y MPEG-DASH, y experiencia con sistemas de encoders/transcoders para la gestión de contenido multimedia.

Experiencia y Calificaciones:

  • Años de Experiencia Requeridos: Mínimo 12 años de experiencia progresiva en ingeniería, con al menos 6 años de liderazgo gerencial directo (People Management), incluyendo la gestión de managers.

  • Idiomas: Inglés Intermedio (comunicación efectiva en entornos internacionales). Portugués Básico (deseable).
