Engineer Intern

Richard Heath & Associates, Inc. (RHA) is currently hiring for the following position:
 
Engineer Intern - Energy Efficiency 
Full-time, non-exempt
 
We are seeking a motivated and talented Engineering Intern to join our energy efficiency team. As an Engineering Intern, you will play a crucial role in conducting energy audits in multifamily properties, analyzing equipment, and providing preliminary recommendations for energy efficiency improvements with an emphasis on natural gas equipment. This internship opportunity will provide valuable experience in the energy efficiency field while contributing to our mission of promoting sustainable practices.  This is hybrid position and requires you to come into our Santa Fe Springs office.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of college and must be enrolled in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
• Projected graduation within 12 months and be able to work at least 30 hrs. between 8AM and 5PM
• Have a light school load
• Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and industry standards is a plus
• Candidates must have valid California driver's license, reliable vehicle for travel and minimum level of insurance
• Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and climb ladders

 
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in energy efficiency or energy related field
• Strong computer application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary: $22.00 per hour
The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.  Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
