The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions for the Lazo Platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while contributing to innovative product development in a fast-paced startup environment.

As part of the product team, the Senior Developer will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive product growth and enhance user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and engineering to deliver high-quality software solutions.

This position will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java.

• Build responsive frontend applications using React.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Implement best practices for software development and code quality.

• Contribute to technical decision-making and architecture planning.

• Optimize application performance and scalability.

• Ensure security best practices are implemented across all solutions.

• Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship.

Collaboration and Implementation

• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Collaborate with the design team to implement user-facing features.

• Partner with other developers to ensure consistent coding standards and practices.

• Participate in agile development processes and sprint planning.

Quality Assurance

• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests.

• Debug and resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Monitor application performance and implement improvements

• Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle processes

Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• 1+ years of experience with React for frontend development.
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.

• Solid understanding of React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience with relational databases and SQL.

• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Relevant technical certifications are a plus.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and willingness to learn.
