About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency across systems within the cryptocurrency environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing cloud infrastructure, network security, and system architecture, particularly within the fast-evolving and high-demand industry.

This role will play a critical part in ensuring the reliability and security of the infrastructure, supporting internal teams, and integrating blockchain technology into secure, scalable systems.

• Design and implement security architecture across cloud infrastructure, services, and internal tooling
• Harden production systems through access controls, secrets management, and network security
• Architect and implement high-availability and disaster recovery systems. Develop and execute policies, procedures, infrastructure, and support systems for endpoint device management. Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response workflows
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews of new systems and features
• Establish and maintain security documentation, policies, and runbooks
• Assist with compliance and audit readiness (SOC 2, ISO, etc.), where relevant

• 4+ years of experience in IT systems engineering or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, GCP, or similar)Experience with identity and access management (IAM), secrets management, and key management systems
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and secure system design
• Experience scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)Ability to communicate security risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience in Web3, blockchain, or distributed systems security
• Knowledge of cryptography concepts and secure key handling
• Experience with zero-trust architectures
• Exposure to protocol-level security or smart contract audits
• Prior start-up or high-growth company experience
